I thought sharing Easter worthy bread recipes would be lovely, yes?
I wanted to post something nice but simple, as this my first baking recipe in this blog. :)
So here is a Lavander Tea Bread recipe using our very own Lavander Tea from Teas.com.au
INGREDIENTS:
(for greasing)
1 Tbsp butter, softened
3 Tbsp flour
9 x 5 inch loaf pan
(bread)
3/4 cups milk
3 Tbsp Lavander
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 Tbsp butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
DIRECTIONS:
Before anything else, we let the oven preheat at 165 degrees C.
Grease the loaf pan with the 1 Tbsp butter, then dust the 3 Tsbp flour to cover it. Set aside.
In a suacepan, heat up milk with the Lavander until small bubbles form. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder and salt.
In another bowl mix butter, sugar and 2 eggs until creamy. Then add to the flour mixture.
Mix until lumps are gone.
Put the mixture into the loaf pan and bake in the oven (middle rack) for 50mins or until toothpick poked in the middle comes out clear.
Let it rest for at least 30 mins before slicing and serving.
Enjoy!
