Quench your thirst with this easy iced tea. You can make this refreshing drink for lunch, a hot day or even at work at break time.
This recipe makes 3 glasses and as always, making this with loose leaf tea is best.
INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp loose leaf tea (Formosa Oolong, Jasmine Green Tea or Pu-erh Tea)
2 cups boiling water
juice from 1 medium lemon
2 Tbsp sugar
1 cup chilled soda water
1 1/2 cup ice
DIRECTIONS:
If using Oolong or Pu-erh, boil your choice of loose leaf tea in 2 cups boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes then strain the leaves.
If using Green tea, place loose leaf tea in infuser then brew tea in a mug with hot water for at least 5 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
Mix the sugar and lemon then leave it be for 5 minutes.
Then stir until the sugar is completely dissolved (you can get the aid of hot water to hasten this process.
Pour cooled tea in a jar then add ice before shaking.
Pour sode water into 3 chiled glasses. Pour in brewed tea.
