New Twist to the Old Iced Tea Recipe -- Lemongrass Lemonade

This is Lemongrass added to create more character to your lemonade.  This iced drink then becomes a
hybrid of an iced tea and a lemonade.

Try this using the correct Lemongrass tea, especially on a hot day.

INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp caster sugar or simple syrup
2 Tbsp Lemongrass tea
Juice of half a lemon
600mL chilled water
2 cups ice cubes

Iced Lemonade Tea Recipe -- 4 Ingredient Refreshing Drink


Quench your thirst with this easy iced tea.  You can make this refreshing drink for lunch, a hot day or even at work at break time.

This recipe makes 3 glasses and as always, making this with loose leaf tea is best.

INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp loose leaf tea (Formosa Oolong, Jasmine Green Tea or Pu-erh Tea)
2 cups boiling water
juice from 1 medium lemon
2 Tbsp sugar
1 cup chilled soda water
1 1/2 cup ice

DIRECTIONS:
If using Oolong or Pu-erh, boil your choice of loose leaf tea in 2 cups boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes then strain the leaves.

Sugar-free Oolong and Green Iced Tea Recipe Combination

Oolong is known as a great aide for digestion while green tea is famous for the high level of anti-oxidants it has. Why go into comparing different types of tea when we can combine them and get the wonderful benefits in one drink?

Make two glasses of this Iced Jasmine Oolong Tea.  For best results, always use loose leaf tea.


INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp Jasmine Green Tea
1 tsp Golden Dan Chong
1 cup boiling water
1 cup Ice cubes



DIRECTIONS:
In a teapot, steep 1 tsp Jasmine Green Tea and  1 tsp Golden Dan Chong tea leaves for 5 minutes. Strain and let it cool a little.

Fun with Boba Tea or Bubble Tea Recipe

Big straws became more prevalent as people started to craze over these teas with round gelatinous balls to chew after every sip.

Sharing a few key techniques in keeping your boba or pearls soft and chewy, here is the recipe for Pearl Milk Tea.  This recipe makes 2 servings or one big serve if you are not willing to share.


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Bubble Tea Pearls black or boba
6-8 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar (preferrably brown)

1 cup boiling water
1 tsp Black tea
2 Tbsp evaporated milk or milk substitute (ie. soya or the like)
1 cup ice
bubble tea straws or a tall spoon to scoop the pearls

Sweet Iced Black Tea Recipe

Black teas are great for iced milk tea. Its strong flavor is not easily lost in combinations of milk and sweeteners.

Try Assam tea, a tea from India, with sweet milk on ice for this delicious iced tea recipe.

Remember, use loose leaf tea. ;)

INGREDIENTS:
2 tsp Assam Dikom tea leaves
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup ice
Sweetened condensed milk

DIRECTIONS:
Boil Assam black tea leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool, then chill for 30 minutes.

Apple Orchard tea
What a great way to restart the collection with the first letter for the alphabet.

This is as simple as easy iced tea recipe can get.

The base is English Breakfast tea, so this is great for the tummy as well. Great when cold, but just as lovely when warm.  For best results, use loose leaf tea.

COLD:
2-3 ice cubes
1/3 cup chilled brewed English Breakfast tea
1/3 cup chilled apple juice

HOT:
2/3 cup hot English Breakfast tea
1/3 cup apple juice

Just combine ingredients in order.
